Welcome - here, we live in "the now"
We are glad you stopped
by our online home. We have had the great pleasure of worshiping,
praying, and serving God for more than a decade now. Still, we are
pressing forward, grateful for our past, ready for the future, but
living in the now. Housed in one of Houston's toughest drug areas, we
are committed to our call to make disciples by living out God's Word
daily. Please join us for one of our services. There is a Word for you
right now! What is "the now" and why is it
important to live in "the now"?"The now" is simply the present
moment. It is this very minute, this very second. "The now" is
destined to be just as it is even as you read this sentence. By
realizing and living in the now, we unlock our potential for the present
moment.We
all have greatness inside of us. There is no set moment for that
greatness; it can be revealed to us now by the power of the Holy
Spirit. Dwelling on our past and worrying about our future gets in the
way of us doing what the Lord is calling us to do right now. There are
many occasions in the Holy Bible where we see the importance of living
in the now. When Peter preached on the day on Pentecost, the crowd did
not stop to think to themselves, "Well, I never spoke that language
before in my past." Nor did they say, "What will people think of me
tomorrow when they hear that I spoke an unknown language?" They simply
lived for that present moment, one of the greatest of the Bible. How
do you live in the now?
Living in the now is all about letting go and
letting God have control of your life. It's about committing yourself
to God in every area of your life, regardless of how you feel. It's
about making that commitment now rather than later. It's about making
that commitment now rather than dwelling on how you have not committed
in the past. When you commit to having a relationship with Christ, you
begin to live in the now or the present. There's no time like the
present, and, for BLCC, the time is now!
Now,
visit our sanctuary at Holman and Tierwester streets. We have a present for you!
